Job Summary: -The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) practices at the level of a clinically competent to proficient practitioner of respiratory care. -The RRT at this level demonstrates competence in caring for patients with emergency, acute, and intensive care needs with minimal guidance. -The RRT demonstrates clinical leadership skills through contribution to standards of care and department goals. -The RRT works under the direction of ordering physician/clinician, established organizational policies and procedures, and the American Association of Respiratory Care Clinical Practices Guidelines. -They serve as a role model for other staff, a preceptor for new employees and participates in endeavors to increase respiratory care knowledge.
Required Skills & Experience: -Two (2) years of respiratory care experience. -Ability to use MS Office Suite. Preferred Skills & Experience: -N/A
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• A valid license to practice respiratory care in the state of Pennsylvania.
• BLS
• Registered Respiratory Therapist-Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (RRT-NPS) through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred within 24 months from start date
• PALS preferred
• NRP preferred
• ACLS preferred
Required Education and Experience
Required Education: Associate’s degree with a certificate of completion in respiratory care from a respiratory care program.
Required Education: Technical diploma from a Respiratory Care program
Required Experience:
Two (2) years of respiratory care experience.
